Some of you know that I'm a mother of 3, I have a career, a house, a husband, a blog ... well a lot on my basket! But one thing that you don't know about me is that I'm a 38 year old woman with very sensitive and dry skin. The only disclaimer I'm going to mention is: I'm not a makeup artist  nor an expert, just a mommy trying to look good in the easiest and fastest way possible. I've been doing my homework and I learned that the whole point of contouring is to make shadows on the face in the correct areas to make them appear thinner, smaller, or lifted. The perfect face shape is an oval shape and with contouring, we can essentially make all face shapes appear to be an oval. Start off by applying your foundation and concealer as you normally would. Then for contouring you can get a contouring kit, but you’re ok with darker and lighter shades of foundation. It is very important to pick a single bronzer/highlighter/foundation texture and stick to it. In general, powders are easiest to blend, creams are highest coverage, and liquids have the best staying power. Next, decide what face shape you are. (see photo for reference). Pull your hair back and stare in the mirror. Look at your forehead, chin, and the width of your cheekbones. You may be between two face shapes. It’s okay. It happens to me as well. Hold a pen, a pencil or your index finger to your cheek and press it down to feel for the bone. Contour (the dark foundation or powder) in the hollow below the cheekbone. To me it’s a lot easier with a pen. Depends on your face shape you will decide what others areas of your face you want to make them appear thinner or smaller. Then highlight the other designated areas that you want to look bigger or prominent. Finally with a big, fluffy foundation brush blend it all out. (Kabuki brush is great). Be careful to not blend the lighter color with the dark one, it might look a little “muddy” and we don’t want that. Choose a blush that accentuates your skin tone. If you are a warmer skin tone, choose a shade like coral. If you are a cooler skin tone, try a more mauve or deeper pink color. Don’t get the blush too close to your nose. As mothers, we are always on the go and if you've only got 30 seconds, swiping a couple half-moon shapes from forehead to cheekbone and then cheek to jawline really does work. General guidelines are great, but at the end of the day you're the person who decides when your face looks its best. Play around, take a look at some YouTube videos and practice, practice, practice. Cómo describir mi vida? caóticamente hermosa! Soy madre de 3 niños de tres generaciones totalmente distintas, Una adolescente de casi 18 años, un niño de 8 años y una bebé de 2 años.  En este punto comprenderán lo difícil que es que puedan compartir algo tan sencillo como un programa de televisión.  La grande quiere MTV, el niño los muñequitos más raros del mundo como Adventure time de Nickelodeon y la bebé Atención Atención o Sophia The First. Solución: ninguna realmente, solo que para que estén juntos en un solo espacio, la grande tiene su laptop y los dos pequeños sus ipads. Procuro no tener cable TV en cada uno de los cuartos porque sino jamás se verían. Los dos más pequeños juegan mucho juntos, tenemos un parque cerca y procuro llevarlos a menudo para que se ejerciten. La grande me ayuda muchísimo! incluso cuida a sus hermanitos cuando papá y mamá quieren tener un "date night". En las tiendas es bastante fácil porque mi hija grande (que aveces se cree madre de la bebé) coloca la bebé en un carrito y se van por toda la tienda a mirar. Con celular en mano todo el tiempo estamos en comunicación. El varón siempre conmigo. En los restaurantes mi esposo me ayuda muchísimo con los niños, se ocupa del varón en lo que yo procuro que la bebé( que ya come solita) coma todos sus alimentos. Afortunamdamente no tengo que ir a comprar los comestibles al supermercado, mi esposo tomó esa tarea hace muchos años atras. Lo que sí tengo que admitir que es horrible es en el carro. Todos queremos música diferente, hablan los 3 a la vez, y de cada 10 minutos preguntan si ya llegamos. La grande ya pronto se va para la Universidad y me quedaré sin mi ayudante, compañera, amiga y confidente. Juntas la pasamos super, nos reímos, nos sacamos selfies, nos compartimos la comida y entramos juntas al probador de ropa en la tiendas. Nos reímos muchísimo y de ella he aprendido todo lo que sé de redes sociales. Pero, así es la vida. Le doy gracias a Dios todos los días por mis hijos no importa lo complicado que pueda ser, la vida sin ellos es inimaginable. Cómo lidiar con 3 hijos de diferentes edades? Pues procuro aprovechar toda la ayuda que pueda tener sin sentirme mal por ello ( aunque nunca dejo mis hijos con nadie que no sea mi hija mayor) soy organizada, soy paciente  pero sobre todo soy muy flexible, lo que se ajusta a uno no necesariamente se ajusta a los otros. Trato de ser firme en reglas universales de la casa y me disfruto el proceso. En un abrir y cerrar de ojos se irán, solo que en mi caso será uno a uno, no todos a la vez y eso me encanta.

Having children is a blessing. I think that now, but when I was a kid I used to say that I did'nt want children. Thirty something years later I  have 3! A 17 year old teenager, an 8 year old little guy and a 2 year old toddler. They are the love of my life and if I have to describe my life, that would be: chaotically beautiful! They are in 3 very different stages in life and at this point you can imagine, that not even in my dreams, they would share a TV program! The oldest one always wants to see MTV, while my son probably wants to see those incredibly crazy cartoons from Nickelodeon and the toddler "Atención Atencion" or Sophia The First. There is no specific solution to that situation because I try not to have Cable TV on each of their rooms, otherwise they would never see each other. The 2 little ones play together most of the time. We have a park nearby the house that we visit often.Also,the pool is something that they enjoy all together. I have to say that my life is a lot easier because of my oldest daughter,she helps me a lot! She's very protective with her siblings and even when mom and dad want to have a date night, she babysits for us. Going shopping is quite easy because my she rides the baby in a shopping cart while I take care of my son. He's always with me. At restaurants my husband is the one that helps with the kids. Fortunately I don't have to go for groceries because my husband took on that chore several years ago, knowing how much I dislike the supermarkets. I do have to admit that it's awful in the car. We all want different music, everybody talks at the same time and every 10 minutes my son asks "Are we there yet?" In a few months my teen will attend college and I'm going to be without my assistant, companion, friend and confident for the first time. Together we laugh, we take selfies, we share food and even share the fitting room in clothing stores. Because of her, I know everything about social networks and I always knew this day was coming. I thank God every day for my children no matter how difficult it may be. Life without them is unimaginable. Coping with 3 children of different ages? Well my advise is: get all the help you can without feeling bad about it, be organized, be patient and be flexible. What applies to one does not necessarily apply to the others. Try to be firm on the universal rules of the house and enjoy the process. In the blink of an eye, they will grow up and go off into the world. In my case, I know they're leaving some day but not all of them at once and I love that.

This week has been all about  The Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, this is an annual music and arts festival held at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California, located in the Coachella Valley in the Colorado Desert. Young people, specially celebrities go there and express their best coolest spring summer styles around, especially the boho style. I love this style because is very flexible and laid back with a hippie and bohemian influence. If you don't want to look like a hippie, you don't have to, the options are endless! This style is something that you can enjoy with your kids too. This time my cutie was wearing her Kidchella style! H- Tank, shorts, flower crown and boots. We had so much fun!This Luxe-Boho-Chic style that I'll share with you is something that everyone can pull off even if you're in your 30's or 40's. Just follow some simple recommendations and you will look effortlessly amazing!. Hope you like them!

What to wear:

1. My favorites are: The right long dress or skirt, short dress, jumpsuit or romper, It could be ethnic or floral pattern, rayon fabric, crochet, cotton or jersey. You can mix and match bright color with earthy tones. Also you can wear wide leg jeans, shorts and a long or short vest.

2. Wear accesories! and have fun with it- To me this is the most important part of the look.Your arm candy could be nature inspired, mix and match necklaces with ethnic elements such as feathers, natural stones or wood would be great options but not the only ones.

3. Hair- You could use a simple flower crown or the right hat. Your hair should be naturally textured. Braids are also very common.

4. Shoes- This depends on your preferences, some options could be leather sandals, gladiators,wedges, boots or booties.

5. Handbags- my favorite is the hobo style, but you can use any style you want. It could be Fringed, leather, patches, handmade, Wujuu etc. The possibilities are endless.

6. Make up- Keep it simple, all natural tones without looking washed-out.

What NOT to wear:

1. Avoid too many layers- you could look smaller or heavier, for example if you're wearing a tunic, don't wear a super wide-leg pant and a vest, scarf etc. That's a no-no.

2. Go easy on color combinations, even when this style is very flexible, more than 3-4 colors would be too much.

3. Assure the clothes fit your body- nothing way over size or out of proportion, this is not a custome. Keep it feminine and chic.

4. Make sure your eclectic outfit matches- don't use every piece of jewelery you own at once. Try to define your style, and own it.

I have to tell you, this photo shoot was one of the most fun things I've ever done with my cutie. Thank God she was very cooperative, vivacious and sassy! For those of you who are new to the blog, Welcome!! My name is Yohanna mother of 3!! yup...3. Also I have a husband and a career, you can imagine I don't need any pets at this point, but yeah I do love pets too. This blog is something new to me. During my whole life, fashion and healthcare have been my two passions. Very different, right? My husband calls me Jekyll and Hyde.But that's ok. I'm also bilingual... well wait..(sort of) lol!. That's why you're always going to see the text in two languages, english, spanish and hopefully soon in portuguese as well. Returning to the theme, The Matchy-Matchy thing is something fun you can do with your daughter, niece, granddaugther or even a friend! You don't have to wear the exact same outfit just the same color scheme and it will look amazing. Tengo que admitir que esta sesión de fotos fue una de cosas más divertidas que he hecho con mi bebé. Gracias a Dios la chica estaba de muy buen humor, cooperadora y picúa. Para aquellas de ustedes nuevas en el blog: Bienvenidas!!
