Royal blue fascination

Hi!

I love the midi skirt trend. I think women look sophisticated and polished wearing them. Today, I decided to pair my royal blue midi skirt with a blush color top for a date night with my husband. Sometimes I like to look very feminine and classy and this midi skirt definitely does that for me. Do you Know that Royal blue/cobalt blue by (2100 BC) was  the color of working class clothing?  The nobles and rich wore white and red and this kind of blue was considered the color of mourning. This fact changed dramatically between 1130 and 1140 when blue glasses were installed in the Chartes Cathedral in Paris. After this King Louis IX of France, better known as Saint Louis, became the first king to regularly dress in blue. This was copied by the nobles. Don't worry, I won't give you a whole class of History here, I was just curious about why people call this kind of blue " Royal Blue" and now you know it too.
